George and Betty Blanda Endowed Professor in Education Sport Leadership

The Department of Kinesiology and Health Promotion (KHP) within the College of Education at the University of Kentucky is seeking candidates for the George and Betty Blanda Endowed Professor in Education. George Blanda is an NFL Hall of Famer and record-holder, an alum of the University of Kentucky and a former college and NFL quarterback and placekicker. This tenured position requires a terminal degree in Sport Management/Administration/Leadership (PhD, EdD or equivalent) or closely related field with an area of specialization in Sport Management/Administration/Sport Leadership. Applicants with a JD in Sport Law are also encouraged to apply. This position is in the Regular Title Series faculty category and requires the faculty member to teach 12 credits per year in the Sport Leadership and anticipated Sport Industries programs. The Regular Title Series appointment requires the faculty member to also perform research/scholarly and service-related activities. The position will also be expected to collaboratively develop a new center for sport, encourage philanthropy, develop partnerships with colleges (Business, Law, Communications etc.) on campus, and develop relationships with the University of Kentucky Athletic Department. The Blanda professor will be expected to serve on graduate student committees and mentor graduate student research. Open Rank, Tenure-Track Position in Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation

The Department of Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation at the University of Kentucky invites applications for a tenure-track or tenured position in history of higher education, with an emphasis on issues of university governance and organization, economics and philanthropy in higher education, politics in post-secondary education, and/or higher education and athletics, at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor. Candidates should have experience teaching graduate courses in advanced qualitative research methods such as oral history, discourse analysis, historical research and/or archival research. Proven experience supervising doctoral students in the area of higher education, broadly defined, is required. Clinical Assistant Professor of Counselor Education

The Counselor Education Program in the Department of Early Childhood, Special Education, and Counselor Education (EDSCE) in the College of Education at the University of Kentucky invites applications for a clinical assistant professor position in Counselor Education. The appointment is a nine-month appointment, effective January 1, 2022. The Counselor Education Program is a social justice focused program with specialties in Rehabilitation Counseling (RC) and Clinical Mental Health Counseling for distance learning at the master's level, Counselor Education and Supervision (CES) at the doctoral level, and Interdisciplinary Disability Studies (IDS) at the undergraduate level. The RC and CES programs are CACREP accredited and the CMHC is under review for accreditation. The Rehabilitation Counseling program is ranked in the top ten programs in the country by U.S. News and World Report. Clinical Assistant Professor in Health Education

The Department of Kinesiology and Health Promotion within the College of Education at the University of Kentucky is seeking candidates for clinical assistant professor position in Health Education, effective August 16, 2022. Successful candidates will be expected to teach a four-three course load consisting of primarily undergraduate courses serving most of our health education/health promotion majors and minors; assist with accreditation activities and processes; provide support and advise students across departmental undergraduate programs; provide service to the department, College, and University of Kentucky; and support school and community partnerships.

Earned doctorate in health education, health promotion, or appropriate specialization is desired. Preference will be given to those with previous experience in college teaching, student teaching supervision, K-12 teaching or school partnerships, professional service, and experience with diverse populations. Research on health in the K-12 setting is desired. Application reviews will begin December 1, 2021 and continue until the position is filled.
