- RN's Provide competent care to surgical patients.
- Follow procedures to ensure proper actions are taken in the care of patients, prevention of infection and documentation of care.
- Utilize nursing skills and experience to make correct decisions.
- Must be able to communicate effectively to patients, family members, colleagues and management.
- Must be sensitive to and maintain confidential information.
- Operating room with exposure to bodily fluids, chemicals and sharp equipment.
- Must stand for long periods.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Specialty certification in surgery, operating room or procedural preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a nurse in an operating room setting.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- BSN preferred.
