The Nurse Manager is a registered professional nurse, proficient with the nursing process, who has 24-hour accountability, long term planning and human and fiscal resources accountability in a designated patient care area. Compliance with all regulatory groups to ensure safe, ethical, and quality patient/family centered-care. The Nurse Manager promotes Magnet Nursing behavior within the organization and patient care area, and supports various health system-sponsored programs.
Nurse Manager of a 37-bed Cardiac Telemetry Unit that is comprised of patients with end stage cardiac, surgical and medical care. The patient population is comprised of end stage ventricular assist devices and stable impella heart pumps.

The nurse Manager has 24/7 accountability to the daily operations of the unit. Partnering with a CNL to insure that patient/family centered is achieved through the use of best practices.

The Nurse Manager promotes quality care by championing a collaborative shared governance environment driving performance patient outcomes positively. The Nurse Manager will be skilled at building supportive relationships and demonstrate empathetic consistent communication.

Position Requirements:

Minimum Education: Required Bachelor's Degree, preferred Master's Degree

Specify Degree(s): Nursing Bachelor's prepared candidates. MSN preferred.

Minimum Experience:

Required: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience

Managerial Experience Preferred: 1-2 years progressive leadership experience


Required: Basic Life Support (CPR), Advanced Life Support (ACLS) preferred

Nursing: Current Registered Nurse license State of Illinois

Other: Specialty certification in a clinical or functional area of nursing granted a national nursing organization is preferred.
