Basic Job Functions:

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Physical testing labs and the Rolling Mill Quality program, related functions, and supervision of the Physical lab and Roll Mill Auditor teammates. Leadership of the Quality teammates will include inspiring participation in the safety initiatives, providing equipment training as necessary, developing goals and setting expectations, as well as designing growth and development plans for supervised teammates. The Quality Supervisor will work closely with the entire NSNE Team to maintain and improve all aspects of the QMS Systems to ensure excellent customer service. This position will be responsible for essential testing equipment in the labs including certification and auditing, maintenance, upgrades, and supporting documentation. The Quality Supervisor will also participate in long-term strategic planning for the department and collaborate with the inside and outside sales team members to ensure accurate provision of testing services. Must be willing to actively participate in meetings, activities before, during, and after regularly scheduled work hours. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US (Nucor Steel Nebraska will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future).

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SBQ steelmaking practices and standards
• Prior Mechanical, Metallurgical, and/or Chemical testing lab experience
• Familiarity and experience with formalized quality management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and IATF 16949
• 4-year degree in a technical (Metallurgical) discipline or equivalent technical experience.
• Previous Supervisory Experience
