SUMMARY:
Sets up computerized numerically controlled machine tools and related equipment for machining operations for new product development. Products will be first articles and pilot lots for process verification. Participates in problem solving activities and contributes to quality improvements. Operates machines when required. Trains other department employees and provides performance assessment feedback to supervisor. Actively promotes teamwork atmosphere and supports team development.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Continuous mental and visual attention is required. Requires constant alertness or activity. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand and occasionally required to walk, sit, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to airborne particles and chemicals. The noise level is usually very loud. The employee is required to wear safety glasses, hearing protection and safety shoes.
