Job Info

The Department of Psychological Sciences at Rice University (Houston, Texas) is now accepting applications for a full-time, benefits-eligible non-tenure-track lecturer position to begin July 1, 2022. The candidate should have a Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field by the start of the appointment. This is a two-year appointment with the strong possibility of renewal, contingent on performance. The course load includes a large introductory course in psychology (fall & spring), an introductory course in cognitive psychology (fall), and a course in research methods (fall & spring). The sixth course (spring) would be an upper-level class in the area of the lecturer's expertise, or in fulfillment of a departmental need.

The Department of Psychological Sciences trains doctoral students in Cognitive & Affective Neuroscience; Health Psychology; Human-Computer Interaction & Human Factors (HCIHF); and Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology. The Department also offers professional Master's programs in our HCHIF and I-O programs.
