RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a NOC Technician in Louisville, KY.Summary:The NOC Technician installs, configures, and troubleshoots server and non-desktop computer hardware, software, systems and other resources in a data center, infrastructure, or other centralized computer network setting. The NOC Technician works within thorough, prescribed guidelines and procedures; uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors to solve basic problems; collaborates with management and top professionals/specialists in selection of methods, techniques, and analytical approach.Duties:

• NOC Technician maintains access control, data integrity and file system security for the computer/data center and infrastructure environment
• Monitors, tracks and records system performance and utilization metrics
• Communicates highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel
• Recommends process, hardware, and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades, to improve computer/data center and infrastructure efficiency
• May participate in development of information technology and infrastructure projects
• Decisions are typically are related to schedule, plans and daily operations
• As a NOC Technician, you will perform escalated or more complex work of a similar nature, and supervises a group of typically support and technical associates; Coordinates and provides day-to-day oversight to associates
• Ensures consistency in execution across team
• Holds team members accountable for following established policies

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree
• Years of network operations experience
• Broad IT experience, preferably in a large corporate environment
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications:

• Any of the following certifications: CISSP, CISA, CISM, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CWNA, CWNP and CWNE
• PMP certification
• Previous leadership experience
