RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Network Engineer II in Snoqualmie, WA.Responsibilities:

• Complete Customer Network Impact Analysis: A formalized three phase approach including network consulting, network evaluation and network commissioning will be followed for each customer electing to install our monitors on their existing network
• Network Implementation and Troubleshooting: Providing expert assistance to the customers in support of the configuration of customer network equipment to support the system; Provide implementation and configuration services of a turnkey network solution installation
• Troubleshooting support, this can include a pre-sales site assessment, an isolated network implementation or customer network
• Assisting in the resolution of properly escalated customer Issues: Providing a third tier of expert support for networking issues not resolved by Field or Global Tech Support Teams and providing expert customer-site support if
• Escalating network issues that cannot be resolved within service: Facilitating the smooth transition of such issues to R&D
• Setting up and maintaining a Network Lab: Working closely with Senior Network Architect to establish, configure and maintain an appropriate networking infrastructure for testing

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related work experience
• Cisco CCNA certification required; CCNP
• 2-3 years of experience implementing wired and wireless network technology preferably in a healthcare setting
• 2-4 years of experience with LAN concepts and technology, including L2/L3 Switches, VLANs and structured
• 2-4 years of experience with WAN routing concepts and
• 2-4 years of experience with network management concepts and associated
• Significant skill in network problem resolution with notable success troubleshooting large scale networks in a time sensitive
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal
• Must be able to work in a time-critical environment and be decisive when faced with complex problems
• Experience in the deployment of multicast routing in large scale network environments a plus
• Experience Juniper and Aruba network hardware and software a plus
• VMware Virtual Machine experience
• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux based network management tools a plus
