Job Summary

The Network Analyst is a strategic technology analyst and integrator who assesses academic, administrative, and residential communications network needs; then, in conjunction with the Manager of Network Technologies, plans, deploys and manages secure on-premises and cloud-based technical infrastructure to meet those needs. To achieve these objectives, the Network Analyst must have experience with and knowledge of copper and fiber optic cabling, voice/data network communications including and wired and WiFi systems, L2/L3 switches and routers, firewalls, and intrusion protection/detection systems to support all university network environments.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related field. A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Minimum three years' experience specializing in support of network technologies, perimeter security, and/or unified communications.
• Excellent customer service skills, including ability to clearly communicate with faculty, staff, students and peers.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills, including writing and presenting, for a variety of audiences.
• Competency in technology analysis, planning, assessment, evaluation, and implementation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a higher education setting.
• Knowledge of the Extreme Networks wired and wireless network products.
• Knowledge and experience with Fortinet firewall and security technologies.
• Knowledge and experience with on-premises and cloud-based network design and implementation.

The anticipated staring salary for this position is between $70,000 to $75,000, commensurate with skills and experience.
