Are you our next Sr. Compensation Analyst?

As the North America Shared Services Senior Compensation Analyst, you will consult with HR business partners and the Total Rewards Center of Expertise (COE) on the application of Mosaic compensation programs, including base pay, short-term and long-term incentives and communications to ensure externally competitive and internally equitable pay practices for talent attraction and retention. You will have an opportunity to assess the competitive positioning of Mosaic compensation programs and evaluate compensation practices for compliance. You will execute the annual total compensation planning and ad hoc pay adjustments for assigned business units in accordance with global processes, systems and tools. You will oversee job documentation and perform job evaluations for market benchmarking. You will prepare compensation recommendations and lead the process of compensation surveys participation. You will support the administration of the equity and deferred compensation programs.

What will you do?

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of compensation programs and consults with functional leadership to ensure strong alignment with business strategies and objectives.
  • Collaborate with HR business partners to prepare the organization for compensation decision making and achieve outcomes consistent with Mosaic's compensation philosophy and strategy.
  • Contribute to the development and execute on the year-end compensation planning process within assigned business units. Provide guidance and direction on ad-hoc pay decisions, including offer letters and retention actions. Manage market adjustment and promotion process for business unit in conformance with Mosaic policy or guidelines.
  • Oversee the quality of job documentation; perform job evaluations and market pricing using the consistent global company methodology, tools and systems; propose salary grade placements.
  • Conduct job classification and other compliance-related functions for salaried positions under FLSA, EEO, Wage & Hour and other applicable laws and regulations, in accordance with Mosaic policy. Maintain job records, evaluation results and external benchmark information.
  • Propose adjustments to general or functional salary structures within a market.
  • Prepare base and incentive program compensation forecasts for financial and workforce planning needs.
  • Serve as the primary contact with external market compensation survey providers. Maintain contracts, coordinate data access and ensure availability of needed reports. Coordinate and complete salary surveys data submissions, which will include gathering, reviewing and analyzing data to be submitted, determining market matches and identifying new data sources.
  • Provide compensation reports, analysis and recommendations relating to compensation processes, projects, issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with equity and deferred compensation plans administration. Maintain records in the equity awards management system.

What do you need for this role?
  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field of study is required. A Master's degree in Human Resources, Business or Finance is highly desirable.
  • A CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) certification is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience with base pay design and administration, job evaluation and market pricing, survey management, bonus administration, equity plans administration, consultative analysis, and compensation compliance is required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience with additional exposure to global compensation processes, reporting and governance, project management, compensation communications and training development is preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook is required.
  • Familiarity with Workday HRIS is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of job evaluation systems/software is desirable.
