Overview
The Princeton University Art Museum is seeking a Museum Store Supervisor to support the Manager of Wholesale and Retail Operations in leading the sales associates in the Store's daily operations by monitoring employee activity, coordinating the receiving of merchandise, assisting customers and solving problems at a day-to-day level.The ideal candidate is a confident team leader who can oversee the staff, delegate responsibilities, as well as follow task procedures. This self-starter will be dedicated to overseeing the daily in-store duties of opening and closing, monitoring cleaning, staff training, coaching and schedules, cash reconciliation, inventory management, visual merchandising and restocking, and working with other Art Museum Departments as needed. Ideally, the candidate will have recent retail sales experience, a knowledge of art, art history and culture, familiarity with handcrafted art, and would thrive in a creative learning, mission driven environment.
