Administers activities associated with a specific functional/operational activity of the Mobile Mammography Program. The purpose is to achieve the goals set by the Cancer Center and Breast Imaging for outreach using mobile mammography services to ensure minimum loss of revenue. Supports scheduling functions for travel, site visits, and patient appointments. Responsible for independently reviewing and responding to all requests for mobile mammography services. Builds relationships to effectively collaborate on program promotion to include the use of social media, websites, and site visits. Responsible for managing the mobile mammography outreach program. This position will be responsible for developing strong partnerships, both internal and external, within the Commonwealth and beyond. As part of the Mobile Mammography program, present quarterly progress updates to leadership of the Cancer Center and Breast Imaging. Supervises mobile mammography driving staff.

  • Collaborate with marketing, public relations, and community outreach to support UVA Health System mobile programs, to include supporting public events, health fairs and related efforts occurring outside the office. This will require occasional local travel and schedule flexibility.
  • Research, identify and implement programs based on assessment of community needs and latest trends related to healthcare community outreach.
  • Maintain relationships with key departments to facilitate their support and participation in programs.
  • Lead planning and implementation for numerous programs and events, including all communications, logistical and tactical deployment, staffing, volunteer coordination, and budget.
  • Provide effective coordination of mobile mammography services.
  • Independently process and coordinate requests for mobile services.
  • Complete requests for service and associated tasks in accordance with institutional policy and within established timelines.
  • Develop relationships with site coordinators to ensure site preparation and patient access.
  • Manage mobile site calendar and any required rescheduling to include patient notification. 
  • Track patient visits and demographics using EPIC, Magview and MS Access systems.
  • Create and implement revenue generating partnerships for business.
  • Oversee patient appointment schedules related to mobile mammography for both UVA and non-UVA sites.
  • Maintain and/or update mobile mammography patient information.\
  • Utilizes electronic medical record functionality for scheduling and registration per department process guidelines.
  • Supervises mobile mammography driving staff. Staff is trained and performance is monitored and evaluated. Work is supervised and appropriately coordinated. Work procedures and schedules are developed and modified as necessary. Communication with staff and leaders is timely and effective. Work is delegated appropriately based on the level of difficulty and knowledge, skills and abilities of staff. Staff orientation, training and competency assessments are scheduled and documented in an organized, accurate and timely manner. Performance feedback is provided to area staff in a timely and effective manner. Staff work time and attendance is monitored for adherence to Medical Center policies.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $37,460.80 - $58,073.60 Annual

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent. .

Experience: 2 years of relevant experience to include scheduling, mammography, and/or Microsoft Office.

Licensure: Valid Virginia Driver's License (VADL) is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping, reaching (overhead, extensive, and repetitive); Repetitive motion: computer keyboard. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 50 - 100lbs. May be exposed to noise, radiation, radioactive materials, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
