Reporting to the Director, Legal, Regulatory Affairs & Compliance, the Mental Health Parity and Compliance Manager will be responsible for overseeing Mass General Brigham Health Plan's mental health parity program and initiatives and will work on other regulatory and compliance matters as assigned. The Manager will work cross-functionally with all impacted business areas to meet state and federal regulatory mental health parity reporting deliverables and other regulatory and compliance matters. The Manager will be responsible for developing an annual workplan for the mental health parity program deliverables. The Manager will also work with the business to develop and report metrics for all applicable lines of business to the Mental Health Parity Committee.

The Mental Health Parity and Compliance Manager will lead the planning and execution of all mental health parity activities including, but not limited to, the development and management of the annual workplan, the management and oversight of regulatory audits, examinations, requests and responses and the coordination of ongoing maintenance of mental health parity documentation. The Manager will also work with the Director on other regulatory and compliance priorities as assigned.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead Mass General Brigham Health Plan's strategic and compliance driven activities to support mental health parity across all applicable lines of business.
• Lead all mental health parity reporting efforts by working cross-functionally with our business partners to develop the annual mental health parity workplan. Ensure that all submissions are done in a timely and thoughtful manner.
• Review workplan and deliverables to determine areas of efficiency.
• Present relevant mental health parity topics at the quarterly Mental Health Parity Committee meetings.
• Analyze data to ensure compliance with mental health parity requirements as written and applied in practice.
• Lead implementation of new state and federal mental health parity requirements.
• Assist with other regulatory interpretation and implementation efforts and compliance projects, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Qualifications:

Required:
• Bachelor's degree required or the equivalent combination of training and experience, plus 3-6 years of experience in regulatory reporting and implementation and compliance oversight.
• Proven ability to successfully lead cross-functional teams.
• 3 to 6 years of experience within a health plan.
• Experience with and understanding of mental health parity requirements, both state and federal.

Preferred/Desired:
• Juris doctor degree preferred
• Program management experience preferred.

Working Conditions:

• Normal home office working conditions.
• Hybrid - mostly remote work setting requiring an onsite presence to Assembly Row, Somerville 1x/month
