Job Info

Bonus - We're offering a generous sign-on bonus ($) to welcome you to our team. Recognizing and valuing exceptional talent, we're eager to discuss the exciting details of this bonus during our interview process.

About Us

North Shore Physicians Group (NSPG), the largest multi-specialty physicians group north of Boston, is a leader in innovative practices. We are explorers at heart! Here, ideas come from everyone-to the benefit of everyone we serve.

We continually seek the best ways to streamline care for both patients and providers. Our medical team of more than 400 physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other care professionals is consistently working together to discover new ways to improve and enhance our practices to benefit the health of our patients and the careers of our staff members.

With NSPG as your employer, you'll experience clinical excellence, supportive practice environments, and opportunities for career advancement! Through our team-based approach, the goal is to make our practice of medicine more efficient.

Our Model

Our Float Pool team is a highly skilled group of medical professionals (including medical assistants) who are specially trained and readily available to seamlessly assimilate and stabilize clinical operations within our practices. We cover gaps due to unexpected call outs, long-term leaves, planned vacations, staffing vacancies, etc. This is a unique opportunity to work autonomously to the top of your education/certification while also functioning as part of a collaborative team. The ideal candidate profile is an experienced, adaptable Medical Assistant who is confident in their clinical abilities and genuinely enjoys variety.

Are you ready to experience different practice environments, bring your talent to this team, and join us in driving medicine forward?

Locations/Hours

We are ideally seeking full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistants, but we can be flexible on hours for the right fit. In this role, you would be expected to cover the following NSPG sites:

  • Beverly Family Medicine - 900 Cummings Center, Suite 107T Beverly, MA
  • Beverly Family Medicine - 100 Cummings Center, Suite 136P Beverly, MA
  • Danvers Internal Medicine - 194 North Street (Rear) Danvers, MA
  • Rowley Family Medicine - 414 Haverhill Street Rowley, MA
  • Ipswich Family Medicine - 130 County Road Ipswich, MA
We do our best to keep all employees with their assigned regions; however, full-time float pool employees must be able and willing to commute to any of our North Shore locations during orientation (for training/precepting purposes) or during times of fluctuating staffing shortages (for cross-coverage purposes). We do reimburse for travel.

How You Will Support Our Offices

Our Medical Assistants partner with and work alongside a physician or advanced practice provider. Responsibilities include:
  • Functioning as a "flow manager"/ensuring efficient patient flow through the office
  • Assisting the Provider and/or Nurse with patient care during the office visit (examination, procedures, and treatments as directed)
  • Performing clinically appropriate tasks related patient panel management (phone triage, test results, prescription refill, coordination of care, etc.)
  • Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas
  • Providing an exceptional care experience by interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs.
To retain our Medical Assistant employees and keep them engaged, we have professional development programs such as an employee-driven, competency-based Medical Assistant career ladder.
