About the Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Worldwide Campus is currently accepting applications for a Media Producer located at the Worldwide Headquarters in Daytona Beach, Florida. The Media Producer will coordinate with university and campus leadership, course developers, subject matter experts, instructional designers, etc. to plan and produce high quality photo, video, and motion graphics for Embry-Riddle Worldwide online courses and initiatives.

This position will perform a variety of tasks related to producing video assets. Those tasks may include providing coaching and guidance on best practices for creating video content, developing scripts and storyboards, using multiple applications to produce various parts of a project, handling audio, video, and lighting equipment, converting various file types for use in an online environment, and creating options and alternatives for media to address Section 508 compliance.

This person must be able to work independently and as part of a team, handle multiple projects simultaneously, manage time efficiently, and communicate and collaborate effectively. This position demands high quality visual products and great attention to detail.

The Media Producer plays a key role in teaching and learning for the ERAU Worldwide Campus and the Academic Innovation team. The Academic Innovation team is made up of diverse skill sets and individuals, including a Software Developer, UX Research Analysts, eLearning Support Specialists, Instructional Technologists, Instructional Designers, Instructional Consultants, Media Producers, and Digital Media Specialists. Those positions work collaboratively to apply their expertise on the creation and implementation of innovative solutions and on the identification of tools and technologies that address big challenges in education. The Media Producer seeks to constantly innovate through continued evaluation of existing solutions and by staying informed about industry trends.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Video Production, Digital Media, or related field.

  • 5+ years of demonstrated skills in creating high quality video.

Required Skills Knowledge and Abilities

  • Intermediate experience with the following software applications: Microsoft Office, Zoom, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or other professional video editing applications.

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills.

  • Strong communication, writing, proofing, and editing skills.

  • Ability to accept feedback as part of the creative process and educate clients on design theory.

  • Ability to organize, coordinate, and oversee multiple projects.

  • Ability to interpret and utilize brand standards.

  • Must be able to lift 30-50 pounds of video equipment.

  • Requires flexible scheduling involving night and weekend assignments.

  • Occasional travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience designing high quality video content for distance learning environments.

  • Experience working with cinema cameras a plus.

  • Experience recording high quality audio narrations a plus.

  • Experience with the Instructure Canvas Learning Management System.

  • Experience with game engines a plus.
