Job Summary
We are excited to announce our opening for a Material Planner on our Materials Management team! This person will be responsible for supporting the material acquisition plans for the multiple programs within the Leidos Civil and Health Lines and can work out of one of our offices in Gaithersburg, MD; Reston, VA; Baltimore, MD; or Oak Ridge, TN. You must have the ability to work with Programs in generating material requirements and providing the necessary support of acquisition plans from start to finish. Individual will be interfacing with Vendors, Logistics, Receiving, Materials Management, and Strategic Sourcing to ensure program milestones and to provide reporting as required.

Primary Responsibilities
oWorks with Program team to ensure a streamlined procurement process of materials against program requirements.
oCandidate must have the ability to work with programs in generating material requirements and providing the necessary support of acquisition plans from start to finish.
oMaintains reports and monitors material movement throughout manufacturing and inventory sequences.
oCoordinates forecasts, workload, expediting, and acquisition priority with commodity/category team leadership.
oProvides advice to programs as to proper routes to take that will be to the greatest benefit of the program.
oAnalyzes material requirements for leveraging opportunities, supplier recommendations, acquisition planning
oEngages supply chain (vendor to manufacturing) to determine optimal acquisition strategy.
oDevelops and maintains status dashboards.
oManages production and delivery schedules.

Basic Qualifications
oRequires a BA degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 - 4 years prior relevant experience. Additional years' experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
oStrong Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
oAbility to prioritize multiple tasks
oGreat organization and communication skills
oIntermediate Excel experience (Pivot Tables, Charts, v-Lookups, Bar Charts)

Preferred Qualifications
Security Clearance
Buying experience
Supply Chain Management experience
MRP knowledge or experience
BI development management (Power BI is preferred)
Strong knowledge and experience in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements for price and source justification requirements at appropriate levels for purchasing card orders
