Position Summary

Position: Master Planner Location: Seneca Falls NY Hours: 7-4 Monday - Friday Previous Experience: 3-4 years' experience in a production planning role in a manufacturing setting with 2 years minimum working with an ERP system, information gathering, analysis and management reporting
Essential Responsibilities

• Support sales team quotation process by establishing lead-times and premiums for all products that require less than standard lead time.• Solely responsible for the initial order review that establishes the high level schedule plan for all Pump Orders• Establish final project scheduled for Contract Managers after configuration is complete. This often will require obtaining special commitments from Global suppliers. • Interface with contract managers, CSR's, Sales, and Customers as needed to review schedules, delays, and recovery plans• Manage backlog of components for pump build, with a goal to release to pump start assembly date. Utilize reports as required that will tie pump material status / availability. Proactively involve all suppliers to drive release on time.• Expedite and re-prioritize Seneca Falls Manufacturing needs and Vendors as required. Initiate machining out sourcing as necessitated by internal capacity. • Work with buyers to balance capacity and requirements to satisfy OTP and inventory levels. • Secure and analyze quotations; negotiate price and terms with suppliers and recommend based on cost, quality and delivery. • Coordinate as appropriate quality matters and engineering changes/developments between manufacturing operations, QA, and suppliers • Manage and reconcile inventory discrepancies and supplier non-conformance issues. • Obtain data, participate and present metrics and countermeasures in daily management process (GEMBA walk)
Position Requirements

• 3 to 4 years of experience in production planning in a manufacturing setting is required• Experience expediting parts and products through the manufacturing process • Experience participating in inventory management and lead time planning to win orders • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required• Planning of foundry, machining, or fabrication areas/activities is required• MRP experience including forecasting and stocking levels is required, SAP is preferred• Strong communication skills to work with both domestic and international project teams.• Strong product/parts knowledge and understanding of manufacturing, purchasing and planning process• Technical background/ability to interpret blueprints• Lean inventory management process• Highly organized with excellent follow-up skills• Customer interface experience is required
