About the job:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of strategic, integrated marketing plans for assigned service lines and business segments across the health system. This involves developing strategic marketing plans and implementing tactical action plans, which include advertising, material development and online strategies that accomplish measurable marketing objectives and achieve meaningful ROI. The Marketing Manager also works as a member of the marketing team to support and build the Mount Carmel brand. This position collaborates with operations, service line VPs, corporate administration and medical staff leaders and is an expert in healthcare marketing, staying abreast of best practice marketing trends and competitor strategies.

What you'll do:
  • Directing all marketing activities associated with assigned service lines and business segments.
  • Working closely with project owners, operations, VPs of service line, corporate administration and medical staff leaders to develop strategies, action plans, budgets and tracking.
  • Actively engage and manage Mount Carmel's brand position.
  • Managing the creation and production of marketing materials, including print ads, direct mail, brochures, newsletters and other publications.
  • In collaboration with web marketing specialists, translating organizational brand and marketing activities into the online/digital environment, including developing web content, email campaigns, social media posts, online advertising, etc.
  • Managing marketing coordinator(s), including overseeing work product and evaluating performance.
  • Meets population specific and all other competencies according to department requirements.
  • Develops and maintains productive working relationships with vendors, marketing, creative services, communications and public affairs, service line, operations and project sponsors.
  • Reviews business and marketing plans for continuity of goals, strategies and tactics.
  • Attends community and marketing events as needed (including evenings and weekends) and represents Mount Carmel in a professional manner.
  • Act as a resource, providing marketing consultation to unassigned service lines and business segments as appropriate.

What we're looking for:
  • Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration or social sciences.
  • Experience: Seven to ten years of marketing-related experience. Five years of healthcare experience preferred. Higher education experience a plus!
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategic marketing plans.
  • Expertise in developing and deploying strategic marketing communications strategies, including traditional, online and social media.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously; strong organizational skills; highly self-motivated and self directed; and attentive to detail. Must be able to work under the pressure of tight deadlines.
  • Ability to establish and maintain relationships and work as a member of a team, both inside and outside the marketing department.
  • Exceptional strategic planning, critical thinking and writing skills.
