Position Description

The Marketing and Communications professional will assist in communicating the vision, mission, and the brand identity of Ricks. The position requires a range of communication and technical skills including written communication, social media, design, and website content management. The ideal candidate is creative, self-motivated, and technically-skilled, with an ability to develop projects from start to finish.

This is a non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.

Essential Functions

  • Create a marketing strategy including financials
  • Research local independent school market and competitor school programs to determine selling points for Ricks
  • Create social media strategy and develop content for Facebook and Twitter pages including researching and implementing new strategies and audiences
  • Assist in the design of print and digital advertising copy as needed
  • Support Ricks and DU visual brand presentation by taking, organizing and sharing photography and videography of camp events
  • Document student work and activities through photography and videography, as well as by tracking success projects/lessons and collecting quotes
  • Researching and packaging stories about programs, data/research angles, and the school as a whole
  • Work with current Ricks families to capitalize on our successes and grow our enrollment
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills (written, spoken) Proficient in social media applications
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Highly motivated and ability to work collaboratively
  • Self-starter

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience and training in developing a marketing plan
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field

Hourly Range

The hourly range for this position is $25-35.

The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than the posted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate's sex or any other protected status.
