Gibbs and Cox is seeking Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (of all disciplines) to helps us grow our Australian operation.

Location: Canberra, Australia

In 2017, we expanded our international footprint by reestablishing Gibbs & Cox Australia (GCA), which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Gibbs & Cox. Headquartered in Canberra, ACT, GCA is conveniently collocated with our primary government customer, the Commonwealth of Australia's Capability Acquisition & Sustainment Group.

We are currently supporting major naval acquisition programs and are looking for Engineers and other maritime professionals who can help us grow our operation. GCA provides specialty engineering and program management support to our clients with a focus on knowledge transfer that enables the upskilling of our clients' workforce.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (naval architecture, marine engineering, mechanical, electrical or other related fields)
  • Minimum 5yrs experience in Engineering supporting shipbuilding programs either in the US or Globally
  • Due to current hiring constraints candidates must be either US or dual (US and Australian) citizens
  • Candidates must be willing to relocate to Australia for extended assignments. G&C provides relocation support and other financial considerations for employees accepting these opportunities
  • Must have Active US Government Secret Clearance
