Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Manager, Program Management for the Commercial Program Management Office to drive strategic commercial programs such as new product launches, expansion of products to new or existing markets, programs with associated partners, and other commercial programs. This position will serve as a lead on global commercial initiatives as well as lead a small team of program managers. The successful candidate will have demonstrated a proven track record in leading a high-performing team that works on high-impact programs along with strong organizational, communication, leadership and influencing skills.

This position will lead a team of program managers as well as lead large complex programs. The candidate will support the PMO with best practices and continuous improvement of processes. The candidate will work with leaders and cross-functional teams from Marketing/Brand, Product Management, Partner Management, Sales, Distribution, Customer Support, R&D, Regulatory, Quality, Operations, and others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead a high-performing team of program managers to ensure that program deliverables meet the company's strategic objectives.
  • Manage and drive end-to-end program management for cross-functional global commercial initiatives.
  • Drive and lead program strategy alignment to ensure the program/project stays in line with organizational strategy and needs.
  • Lead commercial launch readiness by working with multiple departments to ensure deliverables are completed on-time and with exceptional quality.
  • Identify and analyze stakeholder needs; manage expectations and communications to foster alignment, support, and effective decision-making.
  • Establish program/project governance to provide support for decisions and critical risks.
  • Align and communicate timely program status to stakeholders, sponsors, and team members.
  • Develop program charter, integrated roadmap, execution plan and communication plan.
  • Actively manage program risks and associated issues to minimize impact to the success of the program.
  • Serve as an escalation point for issues, within area of program responsibility, to internal and external stakeholders, as appropriate and resolve conflicts as needed.
  • Aid in development and maintenance of key program performance indicators for specified metrics, ensuring that KPIs are within scope of the program contract.
  • Develop, track, and report on program roadmap, detailed project schedule, critical interdependencies, risks, change control requests, and deliverables.
  • Ensure adherence to global program framework, standard processes, and governance.

Experience and Education

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree with 8-12 years of industry experience.
  • 2-5 years of previous management or lead experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification (i.e. PMP, Agile/Scrum, Change Management, Six Sigma Green/Yellow Belt).
  • Life sciences, pharmaceutical, or medical device experience.
  • Experience managing product launches.
  • Experience leading direct reports who have lead product launches.
  • Experience with Smartsheet or Atlassian Tools (Confluence, Jira) for project management.

Travel Required:
  • Up to 25%
