Job Summary

The Manager, Oracle Applications will perform line manager duties for the Oracle Solution Analysts (OSA) who are responsible for achieving the business' processes design within the Oracle ERP systems and maintaining and supporting the Oracle environments. This position also has responsibility for Business Analysts supporting non-Oracle applications such as Vertex, Loftware and other 3rd party tools integrated to Oracle systems. This person supports the business requirements by successfully managing the IT Oracle Solution Analysts for the functional areas as well as analyzing and coordinating the implementation of the new and modified requirements for the business units.

Responsibilities :

  • Manages the Oracle Solution Analysts staff.
    • Directly involved in the setting goals, objectives and deliverables for the OSA team.
    • Monitors these objectives in support of the goals to ensure work supports the key business and project goals and objectives.
    • Highly effective and skilled in managing an experienced technical business application staff and driving alignment with objectives through leadership.
    • Serves as the "point person" for strategic projects in which the group is involved.
    • Escalation point for support and prioritization concerns.
    • Establishes and facilitates regularly scheduled communications meetings
  • Process and documentation responsibility.
    • Oversees the development of an in-depth understanding, documentation and configuration of the business process flows within Oracle.
    • Evaluation of business requirements for fit and support of Oracle standard functionality, extensions, customizations, and possible third party solutions
    • Develops presentation and analysis applications in support of business initiatives
    • Interprets needs and engagements of business groups to define purpose, scope, limitations, and impact of requested initiatives.
    • Analyze information documented in standards and processes for accuracy and integrity.
    • Drives results with methodology for Project Management including IT Project Life Cycle
    • Provides Project Management for key Oracle initiatives.
    • Fosters the use of best practices
    • Coordinate activities within the Oracle shared environment with Europe and CALA to ensure stable system performance across all geographies.
  • Mentors staff on IT engagements and business interfacing.
  • Manages budget requirements for the team.
  • Implementation and execution excellence: organizing and managing multiple priorities and projects by using appropriate methodologies and tools.
  • Encourages others in collaborative problem solving and new thinking
  • Engage external resources (IT consultants) and provide understanding of the Oracle rollout plan, organizational structure and processes, as well as the business unit structures. Assist in making these resources most productive by this engagement.
  • Manages project progression and status reporting through appropriate and timely action on project tasks and project portfolio updates
  • Creates awareness of activities and progress through regular status reports to management
  • Administers compensation, ensures timely and accurate compliance with training requirements (ethics, conflict of interest, etc.), and conducts performance appraisals.
  • Promote a working environment that encourages employee involvement to achieve excellence in productivity, customer service, quality, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)
  • Provides regular feedback, employee coaching, issue resolution, counseling and development

Requirements :
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years software application (such as Oracle), design, systems development, and/or implementation as a team lead and work experience in a IT or IT related field.
  • Experience working within a large global business
  • Experienced with ERP implementations and support of an ERP system.
  • Skilled with project management tools and methods.
  • Ability to convey a strong presence, professional image, and deal confidently with complex business or technical problems.
  • Good meeting and presentation skills . Comfortable presenting to small and large groups at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership track record.
  • Able to research issues and develop solutions independently
  • Comfortable presenting to small and large groups at all levels of the organization
  • Experience with implementation of Oracle E Business Suite is a plus.
  • Software application proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Visio, Microsoft Projects, common email systems, and basic networking and database concept
