Quinnipiac University invites applications for a Manager, Marketing & Communications to act as a partner to the Senior Director, Academic Marketing & Communications with a focus on day-to-day support for the College of Arts & Sciences and the School of Education.

The Academic Marketing team within the Office of Marketing and Communications is focused on providing strategy, leadership and overall management/support for marketing and communications efforts at the school/college level to directly support enrollment efforts for our undergraduate and graduate programs. The Office of Marketing & Communications is responsible for university-wide brand and marketing communications strategy, planning, execution, and reporting across all university communications channels.

  • Act as the main point of contact and marketing lead for the College of Arts & Sciences and the School of Education
  • Manage the execution of assigned projects, while ensuring consistency and communications effectiveness across all audiences and channels
  • Attend and actively participate in all college/school status and planning meetings
  • Become a contributing member of the school's support staff on all communications efforts, providing direction, leadership and/or overall management/support
  • On an ad hoc basis, contribute school-related story writing for qu.edu, QU Magazine as well as student/faculty profiles and event coverage
  • Partner with the Marketing Directors to identify, analyze and address content voids, deficits, rot and opportunities
  • Participate in internal meetings to stay on top of project/team status
  • Develop and maintain planning calendars that builds on successes and learnings from prior years
  • Collaborate closely with staff across departments to ensure marketing reflects and communicates the Quinnipiac brand and adheres to brand standards
  • Stay current with higher education marketing trends, developments and best practices, and assess strategies of peer, competitor and aspirant institutions
  • Partner with marketing directors to manage designated school budgets
  • Utilize supplied data and analytics to regularly assess and optimize plans to increase marketing effectiveness
  • Other duties as assigned
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years in a marketing / agency role required
  • Must be able to work with attention to detail, while under pressure, within deadline
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with different timelines
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to present to a varied audience
  • Ability to identify problems and propose solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity and inclusion
