At Walmart, we help people save money so they can live better. This mission serves as the foundation for every decision we make to create the future of retail, from responsible sourcing to sustainability - and everything in between.

As a Manager II, Quality Assurance, you will manage daily product approval workflow for designated category by maintaining relationships with strategic partners; providing guidance to staff and business partners on design intent, fit, and construction standards to support product safety, compliance, and value pricing; partnering with cross functional teams to evaluate production samples and conduct in-store audits; and providing insight to management on workflow requirements.

You will maintain and track departmental and category quality performance to drive efficiencies by adhering to the process calendar and project timelines; ensuring that daily tracking logs for designated category products are complete; managing workload to ensure timely sample and comment turnaround times and adherence to deadlines while resolving issues regarding timing, quality, and supplier performance and escalating them to management as needed.

You know your supplier and customer needs better than anyone else and are constantly thinking about what is next for your business. Success in this role requires tenacity, a customer mindset, an ability to influence, and a competitive spirit. You'll use your executive presence to work with suppliers and cross functional team members at all levels and navigate interesting, complex challenges.

You'll sweep us off our feet if...

  • You're customer-centric in spirit and in execution
  • You have a competitive spirit of being in front of trend and innovation
  • You have a test and learn mentality and an agile way of working to improve your team's products and your own development
You'll make an impact by:
  • Developing and driving product and supplier quality strategies for direct import and domestic Private Brand products to achieve desired results by identifying and defining changes to processes and practices
  • Prioritizing and demonstrating value of quality change initiatives to the organization leaders; driving project plans to implement new product and supplier processes and assessing associates' readiness for new quality initiatives and programs
  • Setting expectations; adjusting approaches to achieve strategic quality objectives across the supply chain; ensuring quality initiatives are adopted by entire organization; and ensuring timely project management from initiation to the execution stage
  • Driving alignment and engagement of internal and external cross-functional partners for efficiency in the value chain by driving overall product testing initiatives; determining and developing tools for assessing and monitoring supplier performance and capability to better understand performance trends and gaps
  • Ensuring there is a process and program in place for the development, enforcement, and maintenance of all Walmart's protocols for product performance and quality testing
  • Driving global quality projects to drive product improvement by determining proper procedures and guidelines for advising on, executing, and documenting quality practices across multiple business areas, suppliers and 3rd party service providers
  • Understanding the global trends that affect the business and formulating strategies to address them, while evaluating and responding to issues and concerns regarding quality practices and procedures.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to diverse business partners, influencing them to act as needed to move the business forward
  • Driving customer-focused recommendations and decisions across all customer touchpoints, while constantly incorporating applicable and actionable customer feedback
  • Guiding suppliers and vendors in the development of customer-focused processes and products
