Job Summary

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for growing and developing Dot's Pretzels sales and profitability across the North Central & North Western U.S. Grocery & Mass channels. This role is accountable for delivering key sales metrics including net sales, sales activity margin, market share and thought leadership on the DSD business. This role will lead the development, communication and implementation of detailed strategic sales plans for the North Central & North Western region. This includes managing a distributor network in the Northern U.S. Geography, Strategic Customer Account responsibility and National Account business development/execution.

Job Duties Include

  • Ensure the achievement of key objectives - Net Sales, Sales Activity Margin, Market Share and Profitability - to successfully achieve the growth goals for Dot's Sales
  • Build and grow strategic partnerships with distributors and customers to drive customer satisfaction through superior service and execution
  • Lead analysis of sales region and develop strategic action plans to achieve sales goals across the region
  • Develop strategic business plans for channel-specific business opportunities focused on expanding Dot's Pretzels presence in existing outlets and gaining new distribution in new outlets
  • Provide leadership and clear communication and action plans to all Distributor partners
  • Responsible for achieving distributor analytics to ensure growth targets and delivery of retailer execution plans
  • Provide creative solutions that are in the best interest of Dot's Pretzels
  • Manage deduction and AR issues on all applicable accounts

Ensure rigorous planning processes are in place and practiced

  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 5 years selling experience with an emphasis on Grocery channel
  • Experience working/managing a DSD model is strongly preferred
  • Snack account experience strongly preferred
  • Grocery channel or consumer packaged goods experience strongly preferred

  • Preferred location is in the Minneapolis, MN Area near a major airport with accessibility to the North Central & Pacific NW area
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time
  • Candidate must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
