Description: Our client is currently seeking a Management Reporting Lead
About this role: The Management Reporting Lead is a key position within the Refined Product Trading America's Accounting, Reporting and Control Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing senior management with key financial and non-financial information as well as act as the primary contact and oversight for activity managed by the global business services team to ensure accuracy and integrity over processes and related financial reporting. As a member of the Accounting, Reporting and Control team, you will also assist in the review and analysis over financial reporting to ensure reasonableness and accuracy and special projects/analysis as needed. Key Accountabilities: Key contact and provide oversight for activity managed by global business services teams. Accountabilities including, but not limited to:

  • Build and foster relationship with GBS teams and connectivity into the business
  • Build and maintain working knowledge of commodity agreements and related processes managed by GBS team.
  • Drive, influence and coordinate non-standard or sophisticated new activity integration.
  • Supervise and understand Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Work with business and GBS teams to identify trends, resolve issues, etc.
  • Accountable for managing RPTA bad debts policy and monthly review process
  • Coordinate and assist with the annual plan process for Refined Products Trading America's business unit
  • Coordinate and assist with quarterly performance outlooks
  • Interact with the business to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reports and processes and provide support relevant to the Refined Products Trading America's business unit
  • Analyze and report on financial and non-financial cost center performance.
  • Assist in the review and analysis over financial reporting to ensure reasonableness and accuracy over financial and non-financial additional and supplementary information
  • Prepare quarterly analytical review of information and present to Senior Leadership
  • Support and assist with internal and external audits
  • Actively participate in and support special projects throughout the year
Essential Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred. Equivalent experience also considered.
  • At least eight years in a relevant finance, accounting, trading or similar role.
  • The ideal candidate will have an intermediate level of experience in accounting and finance with some experience in energy or a similar commodity-oriented industry.
