Job Summary:
Maintenance Supervisor - Shift Maintenance is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations of the assigned shift, including the plant facilities, achieving safety excellence through promotion of a proactive safety culture, supervision and assignment of maintenance personnel, scheduling preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime, troubleshooting machine problems, maintaining buildings, and implementing repairs and solutions that allow for quality plant operation is achieved in a safe environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of all associates, including communication / implementation of safety programs, safety audits, accident investigations, etc.

  • Ensure that the company's physical assets are maintained at a high degree or readiness.

  • Select, develop, motivate, and retain top-talent maintenance technicians to staff the maintenance organization.

  • Provide coaching of Root Cause Analysis for equipment failures in the moment with your team and capture solutions to drive change and improvements.

  • Meet required Maintenance PM Schedule for each area.

  • Routinely inspect building and equipment to determine additional maintenance or repairs required. Review requests for maintenance projects and obligations.

  • Drive Lean/A3 initiatives throughout organization.

  • Keep vendors, building customers, and plant management teams aware and informed of operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of leading maintenance teams.

  • Experience in a Lean manufacturing environment preferred.

Key Competencies:

  • Demonstrated leadership ability and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in leading through multiple projects.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in plant work rules, attendance guidelines, timekeeping system, pay rules, and contract issues.

  • Project management experience.

  • Knowledge of methods, materials, and techniques related to repair and maintenance of, equipment and facilities.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
