The Maintenance Project Coordinator - EIA is responsible for managing contractors performing electrical, instrumentation and automation maintenance work, some capital projects and electrical outage turnaround activities in production areas of a phosphate concentrate plant. Responsible for scoping work/projects, bidding activities, managing work execution, job safety, cost management and coordination with other plant activities. This role also assists Maintenance Supervision with managing reactive work as needed.

What will you do?

  • Manage contractors performing supplemental and specialty maintenance work. Bid work as required by Purchasing, requisition services, manage contracts, manage expense funds and coordinate field activities supporting work execution.
  • Support Electrical Maintenance Superintendent with managing facility Electrical Utility Outage. Lead the team consisting of Planners, Production Coordinators, Maintenance Supervisors, Contractors and Engineers. Identify the Electrical Utility Outage (UO) Scope, coordinate activities, manage budgets and track progress during execution.
  • Support Electrical Maintenance Superintendent in implementing capital projects. This support may include preparing Capital Requests (CR's), working with Purchasing to select contractors, managing contracts, manage capital project funds and coordination of field activities supporting work execution.
  • Provide assistance to Maintenance Supervisors with managing significant reactive work. This support may include identifying and requisitioning materials or services, or supervising Mosaic Maintenance Mechanics or Technicians.
  • Analyze feedback from contractors and other sources to identify and implement productivity improvement opportunities.
What do you need for this role?
  • High School Diploma or GED and 5 years related maintenance experience OR a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other Technical field and 1 year of related maintenance experience is required.
  • Phosphates industry experience desired.
  • Maintenance supervision and/or planning experience desirable.
  • Proficiency in project management, planning and scheduling is highly desirable.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and understand the interrelations within an industrial facility.
  • Good motivational, organizational and interpersonal skills, required.
  • Must have effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must have experience with MS Word and Excel.
  • Must have CMMS experience (Prefer Maximo).
  • Prefer experience with scheduling software.
  • Physical work environment is frequently outdoors and exposed to varying temperatures from below 32 degrees to above 85 degrees Fahrenheit.
