Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Fastener is hiring in our Maintenance Department for Mechanics AND Electricians

*What shifts? Rotating (7a-7p) and (7p-7a)

**Pay?! $42/hr average!**

Mechanic responsibilities include, but are not limited to: repairing and maintaining equipment mechanically and electrically in all areas of production, equipment inspections, equipment alignments, execution of preventative maintenance measures, pneumatic system troubleshooting, hydraulic system maintenance, and execution of overall improvements to the Fastener Division. Operation of heavy equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and jib cranes may also be necessary to repair, maintain, or move machinery and equipment.

Electricians will work closely with the Maintenance and Operations teams with responsibilities that include, but are not limited to: maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, designing and installing equipment. A major emphasis for this role will be improving predictive and preventative maintenance, while reducing reactive.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

Mechanics

• Two (2) year industrial maintenance degree or pursuing degree in related field, and/or five (5) years industrial maintenance experience

Electricians

• Two (2) year Electrical degree OR Electrical certificate OR five (5) years Industrial Electrical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Mechanics

• Previous Leadership Experience
• Prior Mechanical Maintenance Experience
• Welding Experience: MIG, TIG, ARC, and stainless steel welding techniques
• Industrial Electrical Experience

Electricians

• Knowledge of AB PanelView+, and ControlLogix.
• Process control design and troubleshooting
• Demonstrated AutoCad experience
• Experience working with vendors and contractors
• Allan Bradley PLCs: All versions
• AC & DC Motors, Drives
