Job Details:

Maintenance Lead positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. You must be able to set up, adjust and break down production line machinery. Position requires knowledge in areas of welding, hydraulics, basic electricity, power transmission, pneumatics and other maintenance related areas. Candidates with previous experience in a manufacturing and/or food plant processing is preferred but not required.

Starting pay rate: $28.45/hour

Candidates with previous experience with SAP software is (preferred but not required). Daily duties will include but not limited to the following: making work orders. filling out daily required documentation, performing preventative maintenance as scheduled by Supervisor, utilizing SAP system to record daily activities and create equipment history. Candidates will need to be able to read and write to perform daily job functions, possess the ability to communicate with team members and members of management, possess the ability to process required paperwork, utilizing math skills as needed to make work related computations for machinery, fluid capacities, etc.

Other duties may include preforming parts inventory, ensuring vendors and/or contractors are following all Tyson policies including safety protocols when on-property, overseeing other maintenance techs daily tasks, assisting with hands-on training and Tyson E-Learning Online skill level training with maintenance techs, other daily responsibilities as needed, and performing other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Must be willing to lift, push, pull up to 95 lbs, climb stairs and ladders on a daily basis, be willing to work in cold environments with temperatures ranging from -10 to 55 degrees in the production area to an environment that is tied to what the weather outside is (rain, heat, cold, insects), wet conditions, slippery floors in some areas, concrete floors and noise levels that are loud enough to require hearing protection and be willing to work on your feet for a period of 8 to 12 hours. Must be willing to complete all required training for the job.

Experience operating PIT preferred or willing to learn to operate PIT. Electrical experience preferred.

*Pneumatic systems trouble shooting

Position Specific (Requirements):

Must have a minimum of 6 months of continuous industrial maintenance work history in the past 1 year and be willing to take and pass forklift operation and aero lift certification.

Hours of work: Mon-Fri (6:00 am to 3:00 pm) with occasional Saturdays

Interviews will be conducted with internal applicants who are currently employed at the facility, then followed by any external applicants who meet the hiring criteria.

Rehiring Criteria: Applicant must not have worked for Tyson more than a total of 3 times prior. Applicant also must have completed a minimum of 180 days since last employment with Tyson.
