Purpose

The Novelis Clayton, NJ facility is seeking to add a talented Maintenance Electrician to its team. The purpose of this role is to safely, efficiently, and effectively provide electrical and light mechanical support to operation by maintaining and servicing production equipment for minimizing downtime.

What We Offer

Day shift position Mon-Fri (7am-3pm) and Evening shift position (6pm - 6am) with salary range $30.59/hr - $34.30/hr, plus applicable shift premium of $0.75/hr. Position eligible for Sign on Bonus of $2,000.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• 5+ years multi-craft electrical experience and aptitude with industrial machinery & equipment.
• Possess ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
• Perform lifting up to 50lbs; some lifting above 50lbs.
• Possess strong trouble shooting skills
• NFPA 70E and NEC understanding
• Pass vision screening test
• Must be able to work any hours, overtime, weekends and holidays as scheduled/required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated mechanical ability
• Demonstrated ability to weld, both gas and electric
• Knowledge of PLCs
• Demonstrated forklift experience

Location Profile

Built in 1970 the Clayton facility employs more than 100 people and engages in a re-rolling and finishing operation that supplies foil and light-gauge non-heat treatable aluminum coiled sheet and products including semi-rigid formed container stock HVAC standard and automotive fin stock pharmaceutical closure stock spiral duct stock and distribution.
