Scope of Position:

Responsible for routine repairs and general maintenance work that includes facilities, building, machinery and equipment. Keep facility clean and safe to work in.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Repairs and maintenances basic facility upkeep needs. Including electrical, plumbing, structure, snow removal, groundskeeping, painting, etc.

· Repairs and maintenances electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machinery and equipment for production floor and office

· Work from and understand blueprints and shop sketches to lay out and perform all required machine operations to construct, alter, repair and maintain a wide variety of punch and forming dies, jigs fixtures and templates used to produce our products

· Performs basic plumbing and carpentry projects

· Troubleshoots problems arising from regular preventive maintenance audits

· Uses, repairs and maintains a variety of machinist's tools including hand and air tools

· Contact service vendors and relay information to set up repair appointments

· Requisitions materials needed for repairs

· Moves, sets up and levels small machinery and equipment

· Machine component parts necessary in production

· Must be responsible for safety and operation of all above

· Work with safety procedures according to OSHA requirements and company policies and with high concerns for employees on machine operation

· Performs other similar or related duties as required or requested.

· High School, Vocational School Diploma, or GED

· Three to five years experience in a manufacturing setting

· Experience in repair and maintenance of all types of equipment, facilities, and machinery

· Have broad knowledge of total plane facility (grounds keeping, boilers, compressors, cranes, forklifts, electrical wiring etc.)

· Thorough knowledge of and experience with hand and air tools

· Extensive electrical knowledge and repair experience

· Strong mechanical skills

· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

· Ability to follow instructions and work independently

· Capability of lifting 50 pounds unassisted

· Capability of lifting between 50 and 100 pounds in a team lift situation

· Ability to do repetitive bending, reaching, stretching, lifting, twisting, pushing and pulling
