JOB DESCRIPTION

Perform General Shipping and Receiving duties to support both inbound and outbound items for SVC.

Perform various Mail Center activities (sorting, metering, shipping, receiving, delivering, pickup etc). Will also be the point person for our customer interaction and provide guidance and supervision for our small on-site team.

Responsibilities may include any combination of the following job tasks for our Newark Office:

  • Utilizing the Courier Shipping platform ship items out of SVC following the customer completed shipping form.
  • Receive all incoming items from various couriers and USPS
  • Sort USPS and deliver to mailboxes
  • Deliver all accountable items to the addressed recipient maintaining a chain of custody.
  • Manage accountable items using the available software platform
  • Work with customers and logistics to arrange Freight shipments and receiving.
  • Perform duties and special requests as assigned by management and client
  • Follow all DOT and IATA regulations from the Compliance team.
  • Track and order supplies needed at levels needed for no stock outs.
  • Maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and
  • cooperative attitude
  • Verify the USPS meter is up to date with the correct postage amount and correct funds available in the postage machine.
  • Be available to support customers' needs and questions.
  • Work with couriers for shipment exceptions.
  • Provide tracking numbers to shipping customers as requested
  • Supply paper to MFD's in SVC and maintain adequate supply
  • Complete Oracle receiving process
  • Ability to cross train to other departments/duties, as back up to labor needs, including but not limited to Workplace Services.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Qualifications:
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to adapt to the changing, fast growth environment in meeting customer expectations.
  • Strong people skills.
  • Lifting up to a maximum of 50 lbs. or the maximum allowed by current State law with or without accommodation.
  • Physical demands with activity or condition requiring a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (i.e., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine. Physical demands may include walking, carrying, reaching, standing, and stooping. May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment
Experience / Educational Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 12 months related experience and/or training
