The Machine Engineering Tech will bridge the gap between floor level machine operations and the Manufacturing Engineering department to sustain ISO compliance of processes, drive cost savings, and improve processes through an depth analysis of G-code programming, tooling applications, and overall shop organization and documentation.

• Assists operators with troubleshooting machining operations and coaches operators in best practices to build operator knowledge and self-sufficiency
• Assists operators in set-up operations while simultaneously creating set up instructions for ease of future set ups
• Standardize and improve current tooling applications
• Implement processes to better monitor tool life and consumable usage to maximize uptime and reduce burden cost
• Work with manufacturing engineers to develop more robust system for maintaining documentation and ISO compliance
• Program and set-up new parts or make necessary changes to existing parts
• Work with product engineering to ensure parts are being machined to current part prints and standards
• Work with quality on issues arising from improper machining of components

Participate in machine shop focused KATA processes to help support PDCA cycles

• Well-rounded machining experience (milling, turning)
• Okuma and Fanuc programming experience
• Experienced in machine shop processes/workflow (routings, tool bills, etc.)
• Basic computer skills (Outlook, excel, work, ppt)
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in teams
• Experience in Mueller Machine shop processes
• Desire to build upon existing skillsets, seek higher education
• High School Diploma
