About IPSD

Caterpillar's Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) designs, tests and manufactures 0.5 to 18L engines that not only power Caterpillar machines, but also power over 5000 other applications including Marine, Petroleum, Industrial Applications, Electric Generators, and Locomotives. Job Summary:

The Industrial Power Systems Division has an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Coordinator II in Seguin, Texas. As a Logistics Coordinator II, you will assist the logistics team in accurately recording and processing inventory adjustments during the shipping and receiving of products while using the tools and computer software available in a safe manner.

What you will do:

  • Pick and tag material to ordered quantities
  • Load and unload inventory into trucks
  • SAP Transactions
  • SAP knowledge
  • Assist with inventory management and accuracy
  • Generate & close IPLs and miscellaneous IPLs as needed
  • Operate assigned powered industrial trucks for area
  • Fill in for other team members as required
  • Train New team members as needed
  • Complete necessary activities to ship and receive product
  • Responsible for functional area PQVC metrics
What you will have:
  • Experience in operating a sit-down forklift
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Ability to research inventory, locate material, and perform inventory transactions
  • Ability to confidently perform a defect walk back, familiar with facility layout, and can reconcile inventory tracking system
What would make you a top candidate:
  • Strong customer service/contact experience, communication, multi-tasking, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in logistics/supply chain
  • Capable of working independently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skill
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to perform repetitive operations
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Additional Information:
  • 18.50 an hour starting payrate
  • Shift hours are Monday - Thursday 5:00am - 3:00pm (overtime required)
