Must be able to work on all types of locking hardware and closures. Essential Functions:

Replace locks and cylinders as routine maintenance. Able to troubleshoot locks, cylinders and door closers and make appropriate repairs. Replace/repair door closures and locking hardwareBe available to respond to emergencies outside of normal working hours. Provide functional/operational support to campus as essential personnel during times of emergency, catastrophe, inclement weather, etc.Cut keys and re-key cylindersOther duties as directed. 

Qualifications
Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of three (3) years of experience is required. Candidate with vocational training/certification in locksmith is preferred.Must posses TX driver license and clear MVR.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Candidate must demonstrate ability to interpret master-keying code systems and must understand mechanical keying systems as large as 6 bits. Position requires manual dexterity. Candidate must be able to securely maintain sensitive records & equipment. Strong customer service skills are required. Candidate must be detail-oriented. Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate broadly across the University and develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of constituencies. Must also demonstrate strong written communication skills. Candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze problems, as well as devise solutions. Must also have strong organizational, planning and time management skills.  Physical and Environmental Demands:
