General Statement of Duties:



Responsible for review of commercial real estate loans to ensure credit quality conforms to established company policy and regulatory guidelines. Identify potential problem loans and assign a risk rating describing deficiency and probability of loan repayment. Loan review will include, but is not limited to, an analysis of the property operating statement, rent roll, lease agreements, cash flow, collateral position, site inspection, appraisal, guarantor financial statements, and portfolio cash flow.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promptly identify loans and relationships having potential credit weaknesses in order to assure that credit/loan losses are minimized, capital is preserved, and to validate the accuracy of the risk ratings.
  • Prepare classified/criticized individual loan report summarizing credit exposure.
  • Collect current property financial information and prepare loan review report detailing property cash flow, estimated value and market conditions affecting collateral.
  • Identify, measure, control and follow up on internal and external risk factors affecting credit transactions.
  • Visit individual sites, when appropriate, to evaluate physical collateral as requested by management.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly status reports for management review.
  • Contact real estate appraisers to discuss property specific issues and related market conditions.
  • Provide other assistance as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • 1 to 3 years of banking and/or financial services experience in commercial real estate preferred
  • Property appraisal and/or appraisal review experience preferred
  • Familiarity of local real estate markets
  • Ability to work independently on multiple tasks
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem solving abilities and ability to manage projects effectively
  • Strong computer skills in banking programs as well as Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to prepare quality financial presentations
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance related field preferred
