Towards this end, our research aims to in elucidate the evolutionary dynamics of tumor progression, to discover novel therapeutic targets, and to delineate the genotype to phenotype map in cancer. A unifying theme of our research is to exploit 'omic' data derived from clinically annotated samples, as well as novel 3D cell culture systems, coupled with robust computational frameworks in order to advance our understanding of cancer systems biology and the field of precision medicine. The Curtis lab is seeking an Experimental Technician to design and independently perform experiments supporting research projects in the Curtis lab focused on modeling tumor progression and evolution in human organoids. This cutting-edge experimental program includes oncogene engineering and barcoding of human 3D (ortanotypic) tissue culture via lentiviral infection and CRISPR-Cas9 as well as drug treatment studies and next generation sequencing to model tumor progression and evolution. S/he will also be responsible for analyzing and interpreting the results of these data and making appropriate modification to improve the throughput and/or accuracy of the procedure.Duties include:
