Our client, an insurance company, is looking for a Licensing Assistant to join their team in the downtown area. This onsite contract position is for 3 months. This position is great for anyone who is looking for an entry level role in the field of insurance.

Day to Day:

• Download licensing requests on a regular basis and enter the request on spreadsheets within department standards
• Update spreadsheet for appointment renewal process as requested
• Allocate state appointment bills
• Prepare appointment confirmation letters as requested
• Complete work status spreadsheets, timekeeping reports, and participate and attend any department staff meetings as requested
• File documents and maintain files, including retrieving documents or files as requested and refilling of same within department standards
• Maintain terminated account files per retention requirements
• Download licensing bills into a format that will work with allocation to different branches
• Respond to customer inquiries within department standards
• Complete SILA Licensing Basics course within timeframe set by department manager
• Develop, maintain and enhance good working relations with customers and co-workers
• Additional duties as assigned

About You:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years of office experience
• Excellent customer service skill
• Excellent PC skills, including experience with Windows based word processing and spreadsheet software (Excel preferred)
• Good planning, organizational and listening skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
• Dependability and ability to follow through on assignments
