The Department of History at Princeton University has an occasional need for lecturers to teach undergraduate seminars or precepts (sections) in areas such as the history of North and South America, Asia, Europe (including Great Britain), Africa, and history of science. The position requires leading discussions, attending course lectures, being available for meetings with the course instructor(s), holding regular on-campus office hours, and grading student exams and papers. Appointments are subject to enrollments, and may be for one or two semesters during the 2021-2022 academic year. An advanced degree is required; PhDs or doctoral candidates preferred. Please provide a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a brief statement of your teaching experience and interest, and the names and contact information for three references. Due to the large number of applications, only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted. No letters of recommendation are required at this time. These positions are subject to the University's background check policy.
