Job Summary:

Summary: Leadership Development and Performance Improvement Center/Corporate Training Learning and Development Content Developer is responsible for the creation and development of all content related to corporate training. Overall, this position participates in the creation and development of content for employee development, leadership development, systems-related training, and new hire orientation. This role supports all corporate training initiatives to ensure alignment with the organization s strategic priorities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Develop engaging and performance-focused training content according to adult learning theory and the ADDIE model of instructional design.
  • Designs, develops, and evaluates curriculum and training materials for the Leadership Development and Performance Improvement Center/Corporate Training and human resources teams.
  • Contributes innovative, creative ideas to evolve and optimize the initiatives of the Leadership Development and Performance Improvement Center/Corporate Training and positively impact business results.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure training content is updated, relevant, and supports current department and organizational initiatives.
  • Develops course assessments, training evaluations, quizzes, and meaningful, interactive activities that improve learning outcomes.
  • Manages learning material by auditing, reviewing, and validating content accuracy.
  • Manages all projects related to course and curriculum creation to include task analysis and process mapping for content development.
  • Oversees polling, technical support, troubleshooting, and other issues as needed.
  • Identifies company training needs by partnering with department leadership and presenting recommendations.
  • Work closely with other subject matter experts, as well as our e-Training Instructional Designer, who will translate your written expertise into finished courses using e-Training tools and applications.
  • Develops and maintains strong business relationships, collaborating with Subject Matter Experts across different departments, and implementing learning & development project plans.
  • Develops supporting knowledge articles, job aids, manuals, and SOPs.
  • Keeps up to date on learning and publication tools, trends, and ideas.
  • Understands the parameters of confidentiality and essential trust. Holds private information in confidence.
  • Performs other assignments and duties as assigned by Management.

Location: Atlanta, Georgia; Houston, Texas; Dallas, Texas; Phoenix, Arizona; and Detroit, Michigan. Minimal travel is required.

Education and Experience: Bachelor s degree and three to five years of corporate training curriculum development experience is required.

Certifications: Certification through the Association for Talent Development and Birkman Method Assessment, preferred.

Language Skills: Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to create training presentations. Ability to effectively present information in one-to-one and in group situations to all levels of employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve problems and work across department boundaries independently. Must be organized, able to research and analyze information to make appropriate decisions.

Technical Skills

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate knowledge of the following Microsoft Office products: PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of adult learning, e-learning, and distance learning principles is preferred.
  • Knowledge of an LMS platform is preferred.
  • Strong technical capability and experience in IT systems management preferred.
  • Experience with industry-standard publishing formats such as SCORM and AICC preferred.
