Overview

The Lead Trainer/Agile Coach is an experienced training facilitator and Agile practitioner who acts as a catalyst, change agent and servant leader who coaches, facilitates, teaches and mentors team members to achieve excellent results. This role provides enterprise level training and coaching to ensure understanding and adoption of Agile values, principles and practices across the organization. The Lead Trainer/Agile Coach partners with the Enterprise Agile Team to evaluate training needs and develops/adapts training content to support organization goals. The Lead Trainer/Agile Coach must ensure content value and delivery supports a consumer-centric focus across all global learning groups.

Responsibilities

  • Provide enterprise level training and coaching to the global organization
  • Work closely with the Agile team members ( Product Owner, Scrum Master, Team members), program team members, and leadership to plan and deliver training support
  • Lead workshops & training sessions to educate individuals on Agile values, principles, and practices across the organization
  • Work within the Agile Community of Practice to improve the processes and training content for applicability to current strategic direction
  • Understand and promote the mindset required for effective Agile teams and influence organizational change to drive the right mindset across all levels
  • Provide input on changes to improve curriculum, training environment, or other training deliverables
  • Collaborate with enterprise learning organizations to develop and deliver learning solutions aligned to needs and priorities
  • Develop and deliver learning programs that align with Global Technology strategic transformation goals
  • Develop or select training aids, including training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, and reference works, as needed
  • Coordinate or perform administrative functions necessary to deliver, document and analyze success of training programs
  • Supports organization and culture transformation working across functional boundaries


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Communications, Organizational Development or similar field
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience as Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Agile Trainer with multi-team experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Instructional Design and/or Training Facilitation
  • Applicable certifications:
    • CST - Certified Scrum Trainer (Preferred)
    • CSP-SM - Certified Scrum Professional Scrum Master (Required)
    • CSP-PO - Certified Scrum Professional Product Owner
    • CPLP - Certified Professional in Learning and Performance
  • Experience with MS Teams and/or Zoom remote collaboration tools required
  • A strong "stage presence "; exceptional facilitation and interpersonal skills are essential with ability to manage adult learners in remote, in-person or hybrid training setting
  • In-depth knowledge of one (or more) agile frameworks; certified Scaled Agile Framework Program, SAFe Agile framework certification 4.0 or higher preferred
  • Experience in training delivery from inception to outcomes; Agile training delivery experience is preferred
  • Experience initiating and/or progressing organizational change to an Agile mindset
  • Demonstrated history of developing, building and growing your own training style and methods
  • Experience with a variety of training methods including classroom based, remote delivery, and eLearning
  • Knowledge of emerging and progressive training techniques and strategies
  • Naturally optimistic; someone who challenges the status quo appropriately and "finds a way " to get things done
  • Strong business acumen
  • Able to effectively communicate to all levels of the business, including Executive level
  • Thorough understanding of Agile principles, can identify behaviors that counter those principles, and work to correct those behaviors
  • Mentor Product Owners to make daily decisions to keep the project in motion and empower them to partner with business stakeholders to make more strategic decisions.
