Job Summary

The Lead Systems Engineer - Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) Solution Architecture leads implementations for business automation projects, equipment integration and technical solutions using internal SCADA system. The incumbent will have responsibility for designing IT solutions to improve business efficiency and productivity within Zimmer Biomet industry 4.0 smart solution.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Delivers successful implementations (on time, budget, and as defined in scope) consistent with organizational objectives
  • Developing IT integrated solutions globally and providing SCADA standard solutions while satisfying local needs.
  • Form business relationships to facilitate automated solution designs, document business requirements for approval, and define project scope
  • IT global machine integration and industry 4.0 smart solution development 24/7 support
  • Ensuring Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and/or Software Acceptance Testing (SAT) of Developed manufacturing solutions.
Expected Areas of Competence
  • Must have Aveva Wonderware (Application Server, InTouch, Historian) developer/configuration subject matter expertise
  • Infrastructure knowledge of SCADA, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Distributed Numeric Controls (DNC), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications as plus
  • Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Customer Relations Management (CRM) application knowledge is a plus
  • Strong manufacturing knowledge and ability to integrate various Manufacturing Operating systems
  • Able to program using C#
  • Able to read and write scripting language using Visual Basic (VB), Sequel (SQL) & Sequel Server Reporting Structure (SSRS) Reporting Service
  • Experience with OT/IT operating environments
  • Experience with leading project implementation and support teams
  • Understands Internet, Intranet, Extranet and client/server architectures
  • Understands how on-premise and cloud based, legacy and new web-based systems interface with each other
  • Skilled in business requirements gathering, tag or object analysis, design & build (configuration)
  • Skilled in installation and decommissioning manufacturing system platforms, migrations, troubleshooting and maintenance, FAT and SAT for SCADA/Human Machine Interface (HMI) projects
  • Experience in designing the Visual aspect of the application
  • Empower users [by training and performing knowledge transfer] to leverage IT solutions for business process automation and optimization
Education/Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Information Technology or Engineering related field required with at least 7 6+ years relative professional experience; OR Bachelor and Master degree with 6 5+ years of related experience
  • 5+ Years of hands-on experience with core applications / processes such as ERP/CRM/PLM/MES/SCADA/DNC
Travel Requirements
  • Up to 40% international and domestic
