The Marks Detroit team is looking for an upbeat, friendly, and detail-oriented Lead Senior Producer who is passionate about digital media, taking the lead on navigating creative projects, and building client relationships.

In this position, you’ll gain exposure to some big players in the CPG industry, working with a supportive core team of creative, strategists and account/PM’s, and tackling new client challenges while maintaining company initiatives with current accounts.

The ideal candidate should have 5+ years of experience as a producer or a similar role. You should excel in what is required for client management and producing on complex projects. A background in CGI digital asset pipelines for marketing content and product launches is a must, as well as bringing a genuine interest for the arts and/or technology.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Lead Senior Producer on the Marks team, you’ll wear many hats, but a day in life generally includes:

A Client-First Mindset

  • While you are the go-to for client communication, you always have the design team’s best interest in mind. You know how to speak through creative needs and map out the plan. You work with the team efficiently and always get the right people involved.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships- know and understand the client’s industry landscape, business objectives, challenges and working styles to be able to provide value day-to-day on their business. Become their trusted partner.
  • Be the client contact for day-to-day communication. Set up meetings when necessary with clear agendas and support content when applicable.
  • Lead internal/external project kick-offs, milestone reviews, and work with project managers for accurate scheduling.
  • Create estimates by consulting with the various specialties required to execute the work.
  • Complete the process from creative brief through to final approval, production, delivery and post-analysis while working closely with creative/strategy teams, partners and vendors to ensure budgets and timelines are managed appropriately.
  • Partner with the creative director to maintain the project direction- keep consistent alignment on scope and defined creative vision.
  • Consistently look to deliver overall service offering and grow accounts that you take a leadership position on.
  • Maintain revenue projections and provide leadership with visibility into changes in business and opportunities for growth.
  • Deliver against company driven KPI’s for studio goals as well as on individual projects.

  • Collaboration – with multiple internal and external teams

Financial Responsibility
  • Development of project proposals and estimates and management of project budgets.
  • Track actuals against original projections to make sure profit margins are optimal and aligned with company targets.
  • Develop ratecards when applicable for any repeating content.
  • Support on RFP opportunities by building out pricing breakdowns in a joint effort of our team’s response.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and revenue targets.
  • Supporting day-to-day business goals.

Efficient Time Management
  • Development and management of multiple concurrent project workbacks.
  • Work with legal departments to facilitate all NDAs and client onboarding paperwork. Work with leadership to support MSA and SOW negotiations.
  • Consistent collaboration with project managers to ensure teams are ready to get started on work, and projects stay on track.
  • Organization and strong attention-to-detail.
  • Ability to work quickly, and to handle a variety of different asks.

WHAT KIND OF SKILLS ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Completion of post-secondary university or college degree, preferably in marketing, communications, or digital media
  • 5+ years proven experience in an agency environment, in a similar producer role
    • Excellent client service skills and the ability to think proactively
    • Strong understanding of digital asset development- videos, stills, configurable assets, real-time solutions, etc.
    • Someone who works closely with creative teams to bid, award and execute best in class work
    • Knows how to set project parameters, map out project scope with creative briefs as a guide, and work with project managers for highly specialized creative workers, including both internal creative teams and/or external partners
    • Manage project statements of work, estimates and related parameters through to invoicing
    • Experience in Shotgrid, Ftrack, or similar task-based tracking tools
    • Time and budget management
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Someone willing to take initiative on projects and has passion to constantly learn and grow
  • Someone who is collaborative and focuses on the solution vs. the problem
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, while still knowing there’s a team to support you
  • Doesn’t shy away from taking on additional responsibilities during down time, proactive to help where needed

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
