A Publishing Company is seeking a Lead Product Software Engineer in Kennesaw, GA.

Role Description

• Ensure that software products deliver business value, are completed on time, have high quality and minimize technical debt
• Decompose business objectives into valuable, incrementally releasable user features
• Accurately estimate the effort to complete features on time
• Strive for high quality outcomes, continuously look for ways to improve team productivity and product reliability, performance, and security
• Responsible for technical and process mentoring and/or training of the engineering staff, particularly in the areas of software design and good coding practices
• Assist the Architecture Team in defining and implementing new development processes, tools, and methodologies while demonstrating a strong knowledge of industry standard and best practices
• Continuously stay current on market trends and new technologies that can affect how we approach our solutions and drive change into our standard approaches when appropriate
• Develop and document software designs that emphasize usefulness/usability, stability, performance and reusability
• Participate in R&D initiatives that are focused on new product design, usage and/or applicability of new technologies, and architectural direction.
• Contribute code to feature development efforts demonstrating to others efficient design, delivery and testing patterns and techniques. You will have the opportunity to participate in greenfield development
• Establish collaborative relationships with project managers and other functional team members to ensure success of projects. When needed, act as a liaison to the business, assisting with decisions that require technical expertise
• Establish and uphold firm expectations and ensure that deliverables are self-certified prior to transitioning to the downstream consumers of the deliverable (QA and customers)
• Responsible for the maintenance and design of the development and continuous integration environments and assist in the creation of new environment if needed

Skills & Requirements

• Minimum of five years as a Senior Developer using Agile methodologies (C#/.NET, ASP.NET, .Netcore SQL MVC, MVVM, WCF, REST, WPF, Angular, Typescript, Javascript, jQuery, Knockout, XML, AJAX, nHibernate, TFS...)
• Minimum of two years of experience developing customer facing applications
• Minimum of two years of experience deploying production code to public cloud environments such as AWS, Azure or GCP Experience with CI/CD, Octopus Deploy
• Strong working knowledge of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Good understanding of SaaS, multi-tenant, and micro-services architecture
• Experience developing SaaS applications and operating complex distributed systems
• Experience in unit testing frameworks Unit (MS Unit Test, Moq, QUnit, Jest, jasmine), Integration, MS Test
• Ability to lead by example, mentor junior team members, motivate senior developers, establish priorities with Scrum Masters and Product Managers/Owners
• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience in software development
• Expertise designing, coding and implementing architectures/applications that have 24/7 stability. Familiar with architecture/design patterns and re-usability concepts and database design and object/relational database technology as well as OOA&D and Microservices
• Skilled in SOLID design principles and TDD/ Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployments (DevOps)
• Experience utilizing and leveraging reference architectures across a team- based environment
• Knowledge of .NET web APIs using REST Web Service development.
• Experience in responsive and accessible web-based development; HTML, Bootstrap, AngularJS, XML, JSON, etc
