The University of Alabama School of Law is seeking applicants for adjunct teaching positions.

Detailed Position Information

The University of Alabama School of Law is seeking applicants for adjunct teaching positions. Candidates must have a J.D. from an accredited law school or an equivalent degree, and they must possess academic credentials or practice experience demonstrating both expertise in the relevant subject area and the potential for outstanding classroom instruction. Subject areas may include all aspects of civil, criminal, and public law, including but not limited to: Accounting for Lawyers, Antitrust, Construction Law, Criminal Procedure (including Pretrial, Trial, and Postconviction), Election Law, Entertainment Law, Federal Jurisdiction, Healthcare Liability, Intellectual Property (including Copyright, Patents, and Trademarks), Nonprofit Law, Taxation (including Corporate and Partnership Tax), and Workers' Compensation. The Law School will consider courses not listed above that provide significant and relevant additions to our present curriculum. Compensation is provided at an adjunct rate based on the number of credit hours taught. The Law School aims to develop a pool of applicants interested in teaching existing courses as opportunities become available and to expand the current curriculum as resources permit.

Minimum Qualifications
JD degree from an ABA accredited Law School and academic credentials or practice experience indicative of expertise in relevant subject areas, and potential for strong teaching.
