Scope: This position is responsible for the necessary work required to maintain Lake Surface equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities: Duties include (but are not limited to): maintain / perform minor maintenance on all rolling stock within normal preventive maintenance practices as well as general mechanical practices; fueling, oil changes, minor electrical repairs as in lights, horns, alarms, also tire repairs, minor part replacements, starters, alternators, hoses. Use marine diagnostic computer, welding equipment, hand or machine tools to repair parts on equipment. Candidate must be willing to work overtime including callouts; will also be required to assist in other outside jobs.

Skills/Knowledge/Character: Candidate must be able to read, write, and should have a good understanding of basic mathematics. Must demonstrate skills in planning, scheduling and exercising independent judgment/decision making; as well as possess knowledge to work from verbal and written instructions. Applicant must be able to distinguish colors.

Experience: This position requires a candidate with a strong background in automotive and marine mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

Education/License/Certification/Training: Must have high school diploma or GED, with at least three (3) years' experience in an automotive mechanical shop environment. Post-secondary technical education may be substituted for one (1) year of experience.

Physical Demands: Must be able to use the necessary equipment and tools to perform the job duties. The candidate must be able to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent stooping, bending, walking. Work in the elements, outdoors.

Safety: Must wear all personal protective equipment and follow all safety rules and regulations in accomplishing the job functions. Candidate is also responsible for encouraging crew members' compliance with all safety rules and regulations.
