Experienced
The Sr. Trainer/Field Representative works closely with providers and reports to the Medi-Cal Rx Education and Outreach Supervisor to provide personalized training and assistance to pharmacy providers participating in the Medi-Cal Rx Program.
This role will also work closely with clients, peers, and stakeholders as necessary to develop and maintain contract service level agreements.
This position is remote but requires the candidates to be based in California to allow onsite provider visits.

Essential Duties
* Conducts provider outreach and training
* Conduct custom workshops, site visits, and participate in seminars and conferences to support the Medi-Cal Rx provider community
* Prepares lesson plans and assists in developing and preparing training materials such as manuals, handouts, instructor guides and audiovisuals
* Respond to provider requests for assistance via all available mediums, including virtual meetings, site visits, training venues etc.
* Complete research and analysis, make recommendations and find solutions for open provider issues and escalations
* Proactively initiate visits/outreach to pharmacy providers with high denial rates
* Communicate upcoming policy or program changes and provide guidance on how to prepare for or adjust billing practices
* Analyze pharmacy claims, prior authorization and appeals data, and contact center data to determine training topics
* Conduct deeper analysis to determine the root issue and the path to correction - and then engage the provider
* Provide one-on-one billing assistance at virtual training events, training venues or site visits
* Schedule follow-up activities, such as research, call-backs, and onsite visits and document all contacts and support activities
* Gathers and summarizes course evaluations to provide data for review by manager to determine effectiveness of training sessions.
* Respond to provider requests for assistance by conducting onsite training and problem solving
* Schedule follow-up activities, such as research, call-backs, and onsite visits
* Reviews client reports on a weekly basis to ensure data integrity; prepares and submits report to management.
* Reviews and recommends modifications to procedures and workflow as necessary to ensure efficient and effective processes

Basic Qualifications

* Experience working with communications practices, principles and procedures for both on-site and on-line presentations
* Training experience in the Healthcare Industry preferred
* Experience using web conferencing software
* Medi-Cal Fee for Service or Medi-Cal Managed Care Plan knowledge
* Three or more working in a healthcare setting required
* Good organization and time management skills
* Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Ability to create and maintain working relationships with clients
* Willingness to travel

Other Qualifications
* Knowledgeable in pharmacy claiming/processing, pharmacy tools/automation, pharmacy operations
* Knowledgeable of Medi-Cal Pharmacy benefits preferred
* Good communication skills to develop training manuals and procedures
* Good presentation skills to train and educate employees
* Good interpersonal skills for interacting with all levels of employees
* Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills
* Good analytical skills
* Ability to understand and apply federal, state and local changes to and/or new regulations/laws pertaining to home healthcare service
