Job Summary

Department Specific Responsibilities

  • Serves as an integral part of the Kelley Undergraduate Program.
  • Creates policies and procedures to support jumbo courses (defined as courses with section sizes of 150 or greater) to create a more consistent student and faculty experience across these courses.
  • Enforces jumbo course policies, such as makeup exam policies, prolonged absences, and exam feedback; makes exceptions to policies as warranted.
  • Manages the DSS accommodation process for all jumbo courses; independently makes judgements to ensure all DSS accommodations are executed correctly.
  • Creates and designs jumbo course CANVAS site templates and syllabus templates and maintains and updates CANVAS sites and syllabus as needed.
  • Directs jumbo exam, make up exam, and DSS exam scheduling to minimize conflicts.
General Responsibilities
  • Provides support and guidance to faculty in both individual and group settings regarding instructional support, pedagogical practice, classroom management, and federal regulations like FERPA and Title IX.
  • Determines additional support needs through consultation and designs resources to meet educational support needs.
  • Participates in educational resources initiatives in coordination with faculty and staff to improve student academic outcomes and improve classroom experience.
  • Trains teaching assistants, associate instructors, and graders in grading methods, responding appropriately to student concerns, and resolving complex issues.
  • Plans seminars, workshops, and other events for faculty, associate instructors, and students, as requested and appropriate by faculty.
  • May oversee student testing administration and consults regularly with students regarding coordination of educational resources.
  • May serve as an informational resource and/or delegate tasks to administrative staff.

  • Bachelor's degree in related field

Working Conditions / Demands

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
