Mueller Water Products, the nation's leading manufacturer of flow control devices for the water and gas distribution industries, has an opening for a Product Manager - Hydrants with approximately 25% travel.

We are looking for a Product Manager with a strong delivery record and proven project management experience to lead NPD and sustaining projects. The objective of this role is lead cross functional teams thru the design, development and launch of new projects.

• Lead product management of projects by managing cross functional teams consisting of Product Management, R&D, Supply Chain and Operations to launch projects on time with given budget and resource constraints using stage gate methodology

• Develop, implement and govern KPIs reporting for the portfolio, providing visibility to the milestones and performance on NPD projects

• Establish and continually improve the consistency, predictability and efficiency of the organization's project delivery capability by providing leadership in best practices

• Support development, implementation, and training of program/project management tools and processes

• Develop and implement standard project management for NPD and methodology to be utilized by engineers and project managers across multiple businesses including project planning, status reporting, budget tracking, schedule tracking, open issue resolution, system acceptance, and project closeout

• Gather and analyze data across business functions to establish standards for product management status reporting and tracking

• Provide oversight and guidance to cross-functional teams

• Manage multiple projects requiring frequent communication, organization/time management and problem-solving skills

Required Skills:

• Two or more years of product management experience.

• Demonstrated project management skills for new product development.

• Proven record of managing all aspects of a successful product lifecycle, from launch to sunset.

• Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and communicate these effectively internally and with customers.

• Skilled in working with cross functional teams in a matrix organization.
